tried and tested for ages 4 and up!Looking for some FUN science activities to try out with your peeps? We have a bunch of them here, for free! A bunch of cool science experiments and activities for you to try yourself, at home, with generally recycled materials.
You'll learn much more than some great science idea's, you'll learn how to think like a scientist as well! To help you set up your own science lab, you’ll first need a CLEAN space to work from. We recommend a non-carpeted hard floor, or you’ll need to throw down a drop sheet to pick up any mess before it hits mum’s carpet. Next – think safety: • Wear and old shirt or art smock. Or even better, get yourself a lab coat from www.CreatingScience.Org • Make sure you tie back any long hair, and that you wear covered shoes. If you’re using any fire or chemicals, you’ll need to go the next step: • Wear eye protection, such as safety glasses. • Wear gloves to handle any dirt or chemicals. • Have a fire extinguisher and know your fire action plan! Every science lab benefits from a few nifty tools lying around: • Scissors, sticky tape, Blue Tac, some clear plastic cups. So remember to grab yourself a grownup helper, and lets get sciency!! |
