Ever wonder what robots are made from and what they do? Come and find out! In this highly acclaimed, hands-on course we will look at, play with, and learn about the many electronic and mechanic components used in the field of robotics. Learn the skills you need to take you from dreaming and talking about robots to actually designing, building, and programming them! Each week brings a new project, and a new science toy to make and keep. They include: 1/ Smushy circuits - Light a LED 2/ Homopolar motors 3/ Offset motors 4/ Art Bots 5/ Disco Art Bots

So now you know who Edison is, it is time to take him on some challenging missions! In this course we will learn about programming robots to solve problems. Each problem is a mission for Edison to complete. How many can you complete?
Students will work at their own pace, with plenty of individual help to accomplish as many of the tasks as they feel comfortable with. Those who are older or advance quickly will be given more challenging missions. Edison is a fantastic tool for learning numerous skills that can be used in so many other areas. Students will learn problem solving, programming, and how robots interact with the world using sensors. Here are a few of the missions Edison will be sent on:
