Science is under attack. People are believing lies about what science is, or isn’t; and we are believing lies about what science can, and cannot, do. At times, this is just ignorance. At other times, nothing less than a deliberate attempt to drive a wedge between knowers and the knowable.
Therefore, this book sets out to begin to set the record straight. With a healthy dose of much needed insight and wisdom, sprinkled liberally with irony and humour, you will perhaps begin to see within that even if science is, indeed – a very human endeavour, it is still one of the best we have.
And yet, as with any quest to know, without conscious and educated effort, science itself will continue to be eroded and enslaved to the service of money and fools.
